That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain APls, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Go</li> <li>Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it</li> <li>Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design</li> <li>Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation</li> <li>Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack</li> <li>Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints</li> <li>Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <p>This position requires the following:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.</li> <li>1 year of Software Engineering experience.</li> <li>1 year of experience working with Python, Java, Go programming languages.</li> <li>1 year of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3, EC2, EBS etc.).</li> <li>1 year of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.</li> <li>1 year of software engineering experience in building distributed backend applications at scale.</li> <li>1 year of software engineering experience in building low latency systems.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Pay and benefits</strong></h3> <p><strong>Salary </strong>: $156,800 - $235,200/yr.&nbsp;</p> <p>40 hrs/week</p> <p>50% Telecommuting Permitted.</p> <p>Multiple Positions Available.</p> <p>Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
